Collide (Howie Day Cover) by Ina Burton from the album: Acoustic Sessions
I wouldn’t know what to call it.

That moment when you’re trying to listen to someone say their part and you can’t help but form a smile that turns into a small giggle for no apparent reason. No matter how angry that person once made you feel. It’s a delicate feeling. A kind of unexplainable feeling. I like moments like those.

I Apologize For The Way It Looks

So one night, I was messing around with the html codes of my customized Tumblr theme not realizing once you click on “Themes” it automatically previews it and almost everything gets lost. The frustration of it all lead me to keeping this layout in which I’ll need a ton of time to really sit down and get my creatives juices going. ‘Cause right now it’s not as I planned it to be. I’ve been busy with so many things lately that I haven’t had time to relax and take naps. I’m dead serious. However, tomorrow is my day of (hopefully) pure relaxation. Bumming around the house and doing things I didn’t have the time to do. All this ranting is making me want to eat something sweet again. I’m so glad everything went quite smoothly today with furniture shopping. Yes, I’m finally moving into my own place where I can hopefully record and get on with college. So it’ll be awesome. I’m trying to sound as intellectual as possible because my brain right now is mush. Like.. mushy peas. Though my mind isn’t green. My voice is back! I’ve done a few covers but I’m hesitant to put them up. Don’t forget to tune in to my channel on UStream this thursday at 8 o’clock in the evening! Hang out with me. ‘Til next time!

You & Me by Ina Burton from the album: Live Sessions
My Dearest Summer,

I suppose things happen for a reason. Reasons in which we don’t quite yet understand. We all succeed to exist and yet we may fail to live. To take every moment and live in it. To do really dumb things, embarrassing things even, and to say those times were some of the best times. We all want to feel something, maybe free-fall into the ocean from a high cliff or feel the rush of adrenaline, to find love and possibly keep it. I want to sing a bunch of songs in the passenger’s seat while someone’s making the funniest singer impersonations. I want to dance on the beach and watch the sunset. I want a bonfire. I want to laugh ‘til I feel my stomach twist. I want someone to sing to me. I want to meet new people. I want to take a million photos and put them up on my wall. I want to stay up all night wandering around the city with someone and maybe we’d end up falling asleep on the rooftop of some random building. I want to forgive the people who’ve hurt me. Let it all go. I want to make new memories. Better memories. One’s that’ll overlap the past ones, so it won’t hurt as much. I want to stay young. And mostly, I want to hold on to nineteen for as long as I can. Once it goes, I can never get it back. Because never is an awfully long time…
